Wynwood Walls is an outdoor museum and art installation located in the heart of Miami's Wynwood Arts District, renowned for its vibrant street art. It was created in 2009 by Tony Goldman, a visionary developer and arts advocate, who aimed to transform Wynwood’s blank, industrial warehouse walls into canvases for some of the world’s leading street artists. Today, Wynwood Walls has become a major cultural attraction, drawing art enthusiasts from around the globe and playing a key role in Miami's art scene, especially during Art Basel.
Goldman's vision was to create an open-air gallery showcasing street art’s potential to transform urban spaces. By inviting internationally recognized street artists to Wynwood, he turned the neighborhood into a creative destination. The Wynwood Walls opened in 2009, quickly becoming the heart of the Wynwood Arts District.Wynwood Walls has hosted more than 50 artists from 16 different countries, creating more than 80,000 square feet of mural art. The artists featured are among the most prominent in the street art world, representing a diverse range of styles, techniques, and cultural backgrounds.
