Set out on an unforgettable journey from Vancouver to Whistler, travelling along one of the world’s most breathtaking routes: the legendary Sea-to-Sky Highway. With your private driver-guide at the wheel, you’ll depart directly from your hotel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle and head north through British Columbia’s ever-changing landscape of ocean, forests, and mountains.
As you leave the city behind, the scenery unfolds dramatically: glimmering views of the Howe Sound (a fjord inlet of the Pacific), forest-clad peaks of the Coast Mountains, and glimpses of cascading rivers and small seaside towns. Along the way, you’ll pause at Shannon Falls, where water tumbles 335 metres down a granite cliff surrounded by towering evergreens, a picture-perfect spot to stretch your legs and breathe in the fresh mountain air. You will then have a chance to embark on an exhilarating ride on the Sea to Sky gondola in Squamish, showing off Howe Sound, the Stawamus Chief, and the surrounding mountains from an amazing vantage point almost 900 metres high.
Continuing north, the road winds through striking alpine valleys toward Whistler, home to the 2010 Winter Olympics and now one of Canada’s most beloved year-round destinations. Upon arrival, you’ll have several hours to explore Whistler Village at your own pace. You can wander the charming pedestrian lanes lined with boutiques and cafés, enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many inviting restaurants (at your own expense), or simply soak in the alpine atmosphere framed by the majestic Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
After your pleasant jaunt around the village, your driver-guide will be ready to whisk you back to Vancouver, allowing you to relax and take in the serene countryside views once more. The return drive offers another chance to admire the stunning panoramas that make this region so extraordinary. The day ends with drop-off at a downtown location of your choice, leaving you with lasting memories of a quintessential British Columbia experience.
