Mount Titlis

Mount Titlis is one of central Switzerland's most spectacular peaks and offers one of the most accessible high-alpine glacier experiences in the country.

Standing at over 3,200 metres tall, Mount Titlis is a dramatic, permanently snow-covered mountain that dominates the skyline above the village of Engelberg in central Switzerland. The summit can be reached via a series of cable cars, and the final section uses the Rotair, the world's first rotating cable car that completes a full 360-degree turn during the ascent, offering continuously changing panoramic views of the glaciers, crevasses, and surrounding peaks. At the top, on clear days, you can see across a vast sweep of the Swiss Alps and even into neighbouring countries.

There is a wide range of Alpine activities available on the mountain, including the Ice Flyer chairlift that offers a closer look at the dramatic crevasses and massive ice boulders of the glacier, and the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge. If you're feeling adventurous, it is possible to go snow tubing in the Glacier Park, and there are also several restaurants and viewing platforms available to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.
